Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Manager (NOC 60031) to oversee all aspects of our hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing the hotel's financial performance, staff, and overall operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Job Location and Work Hours

Candidate will work at the premises of Arctic Divide Lodge in 48808 Highway 37 in Dease Lake, BC. The position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily hotel operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to meet or exceed revenue targets.

• Recruit, train, and mentor hotel staff to foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining hotel policies.

• Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements based on reviews to enhance the overall guest experience.

• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies that drive occupancy rates.

• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize service delivery.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a similar management role within the hospitality industry. Requires 2-3 years of experience as a hotel manager or assistant manager

• Requires a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to a year.

• A hotel management degree is a strong asset but not a requirement.

• Experience residing in a remote area (we are located 600KM from the nearest community) is not a requirement but a strong asset to a candidate looking to manage and operate a remote lodge.

• Strong knowledge of hotel management software and property management systems.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions that benefit the hotel's performance.

• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively while fostering a collaborative culture and also be a self starter when working independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00 per hour
